Unhappy That 'feeling' in your gut

...when you just know that something is amiss. I just have a *very* strong feeling someone is going to get sick tonight. I just feel it in my gut. I'm trying to be extra careful with touching doorknobs, faucets, etc. It's like my hearing is hypersensitive right now. Even the slightest movement coming from downstairs, I hear it and my heart begins to race. I feel like I was doing relatively well with this and then the past few months, I've just been relapsing and it's all hitting me full force. My anxiety is at an all time high right now and I do not know why. I need sleep. I need to wake early and I am just waiting for the inevitable. At least I feel it is inevitable. I just feel so defeated right now. :'(
I wanna feel the change consume me,
    Feel the outside turning in.
I wanna feel the metamorphosis and
    Cleansing I've endured within
    My shadow

That feeling of "impending doom" is VERY common with anxiety, I get that all the time. It is like this weird feeling like something bad is going to happen. I hate when I feel that way, but as always, nothing bad happens.

Is anyone there? I really feel like I'm losing it right now. I have the urge to self harm again. I haven't in over a month. I know it's counterproductive but I'm so fucking frustrated right now I've been under so much stress lately and tomorrow I have to dance and I don't know how to get through it. Trying to listen to music and breathe but it's not helping

I'm sorry I didn't see you response. Thank you for responding. I know that it's really common with anxiety but half the time, my gut is spot on. Coincidence? Maybe. I am not sure. I just loathe nights like these.

I'm feeling a little better. Took two Dramamine and drinking some hot tea. Hopefully I will fall asleep soon. Thank you.

    Hey Hun
Please keep your chin up. You've done so well as far as dealing with the anxiety and self harm-don't let a shitty night get you down.
It seems like you are under some serious pressure these days what with the job, housing situation, etc so it makes perfect sense that you feel on edge, or like that feeling of impending doom like TM said.
Hopefully the meds have kicked in and you're resting now!
Fingers crossed for a nice quiet night!

not always true. impending doom feelings "can be" anxiety related or they could be the bodies way of telling you something is wrong. it's common with both heart conditions and also with emet. there are many times in the past i had that feeling or a dream about someone V and it happened that week. i know it sounds crazy but it has happened more times than i can count. but yes i agree this could be nothing more than her being paranoid because shes already not feeling well. wasn't trying to contradict you just adding to what you said.

That could be true, but I think if you get that feeling of "impending doom" enough, and something bad does happen a few times, I think that is pure coincidence. How many times have bad things happened and you didnt have that feeling? As an emet we are going to have a lot of dreams involving vomitting, because we worry about it so much, and since it is always on our minds, of course it will be in our dreams!

Fixxer if all my v* dreams came true people would be walking around v* all day long around me lol. I do know what you mean though. The other night when my daughter was ill I had a dream just before she woke me up telling me she did it. It was weird there has been a few times when I just knew and sure enough that night they came down with it. Maybe we are more tuned into our psychic side. To be honest though I get the doom feeling all the time and nothing ever comes of it. My hubby always reminds me of that too. He's like you always think your sick and you are always fine.

Hey Natiebear, I have those dreams all the time too. I hate them! But...I'm glad to say my dreams aren't indicative of real life because thank God, no one does it after I dream about it. I hate them though. I also get those doom feelings sometimes, especially when I'm in a crowded area. It thankfully hasn't happened in awhile though. I actually started some self-treatment by watching some YouTube videos of other people getting sick. It was extremely frightening at first and I don't recommend it for everyone, but I have to say it has relieved a lot of anxiety about me possibly seeing someone else get sick. I was even able to help my wife when she got food poisoning a couple of months ago. I only freaked out a little bit, versus a lot.

You've been under a lot of pressure lately havent you. Didnt you have to let some friends down over a house & you hate your job at the moment. Just this combination is enough to make you feel off. I often get that feeling whereby Im certain something bad is going to happen (always v* related) and when I say it out loud my daughter always tells me to stop worrying cos I always say it. Sometimes thats all I need is some reassurance. Look after yourself.

You might of heard her doing it, hence why you were dreaming it.... OR,...maybe you are a bit psychic

Oh my god I am in so much pain right now. I don't know what is wrong. I am having the most intense, sharp stomach pains. It hurts so bad. I can't even sit up straight someone talk to me. I feel nauseous too.

I usually am singing a song when I leave the house or think "wouldn't it be funny if this song was on when I get in the car" and I'll turn on my car and the song will blast out of the radio. This has happened more times than I can count!
PM me for contact info such as skype, email, or facebook. Thanks!

YES! I can totally relate to this. Not always the case, but there is nothing like pure instinct. That being said, I'm not intending to scare you 'deadinside' I honestly hope your okay.
