Default How long can a sv* linger? NERVOUS!

Hi everyone and thanks in advance for your time! I went to the laundromat today to wash my rugs and the lady working told me there was a woman in there last night really really suffering from this horrible sv* (why she was doing laundry while ill I will never know -_-) Anyways, she told me this woman was in the potty for nearly an hour before coming out and telling her that the potty was a mess. I was told this after I had went IN THAT POTTY (of course I washed my hands). My question is, can that v* still be in there floating around from last night until today? I'm already sick with an awful sore throat, the thought of a sv* scares the crap out of me as it is and now I'm horrified! Please share your opinions with me before I eat my fingertips off from nerves! Thanks everyone

I know right! She said the lady went in to do laundry around 7 last night and was violently ill in there. I'd assume they did clean up, it wasn't yucky in there or anything. I was just concerned it could still be lingering in the air or something. She said the lady said everyone in her family had it and I was thinking 'well why on Earth are you doing laundry if you're so ill'! Ugh! Thanks so much for calming my nerves!!!

That's horrid but you should be ok so long as you washed your hands. That's why I hate public bathrooms, you never know what people using them could have. I'm one of those weirdos who opens the doors with my elbow or my sleeve on my way out so I don't get contaminated again!

Well, if they cleaned you're probably safe but I hope you washed your hands when you got home cause she must have contaminated the machines and the door handles. Noro usually remains "alive" on non-porous surfaces for 12 hours. Maybe you ought to buy the travel-size lysol sprays? That you can you spray the surfaces before you touch them (better to let it sit for 10 mins to disinfect, but better than nothing! And I guess she must have been cleaning because her family was sick (so.. contaminated clothes in the washer, hope she used hot water). Some people don't care about contaminating others.
