Question about endoscopy.

I've read a few things about stopping medication 6 weeks before the procedure, especially tablets like Omeprazole because apparently they'll mask the problem they're looking for in your esophagus and stomach. Is this true? If that's the case then I'm screwed because my appointment is in another 4 weeks. :/ Just wanna know if I should stop them or not?

Can someone that's had an endoscopy done tell me please?

i don't know the answer.....but i would call the drs office and ask someone there.....i'm sure they would be happy to tell you

I would def call the dr. I had to stop mine 2 weeks before.
