    Default Helping a friend

I'm in a bit of a pickle tonight. I have a friend, who is also emetephobic. He is the only friend I have who is like me, to my knowledge anyway. Today he was diagnosed with Chrons disease. That leads to a lot of tummy issues. Granted they have given him medication to control it, but told him to expect the occasional flare up. He called me in hysterics. I told him about this sight, but he isn't much of a technology person having grown up in a Mennonite household. I'm trying to be a good friend and comfort him the best I can. I don't know how many of you pray, but if you do, please think of my friend Milton. Any advice or pointers on how I can comfort him is greatly appreciated. It's even gotten my anxiety going full force. I just know how I panic, and he was the only person I could turn to before I discovered IES. Please help me. He didn't tell me much about the disease, so if any of you know about it, please share your knowledge.

I don't know much about Chrons, but your friend will be in my thoughts and prayers. Is he upset about the diagnosis? Is he worried about the possibility of v? His doctors should be able to give him some antiemetics, since nausea is a common symptom.

His disease is on the severe side, so the doctor said it was likely for him to experience days with n* and v*. They did prescribe him some medicine to help, not sure what it is, but Doc says that there are no guarantees that he won't V*. I feel so scared for him. I guess you could call it sympathy symptoms, but lately everytime I talk to him, my stomach gets all weird, and I spend the day in my crazy anxiety. I NEED to be there for him, I guess I just don't know where I'm going to find the strength to do so.
