    Question Having hypnotherapy

I'm really REALLY nervous, because on Monday (I believe) I'm having hypnotherapy, and they're gonna hypnotise me! How can I stay calm? I know this'll help me, but it sounds stupid...I'm scared of not being scared of v*!!!! I'm so worried, what if it goes all wrong? Any distractions or how to keep calm?

    Does hypnotherapy helps with emetophobia?

I will try hypnotherapy also. Personnaly I am not afraid that it will go wrong. I am just afraid it will do nothing and that I will lose my time.
I don't think you will lose your phobia with only one session. If it doest, tell me, I will try to do the same session...

Please post to let us know how it goes. I would love to hear from an emet who has had hypnotherapy as my gp (I'm in the uk) said I can't get any help for emet on the nhs and recommended hypnotherapy but it's so expensive I can't justify paying that much if it's not gonna work! I bought a hypnotherapy cd I'm not sure if it may have helped a little but my main phobia is my daughters being sick and the cd is more focused on fear of v'ing yourself, and I have fallen asleep every time I've listened to it!!!

It takes about three sessions...I hope it does calm me down within one though, hopefully it won't take another

Let us know how it goes! I'm very interested in hypnotherapy, I feel like I would have the best results with it but haven't heard from any emets if it has worked for them
