Call this a public service announcement...



There seems to be some belief that if a person talks about killing themself, they won't. That isn't true.



Yes, talking about suicide can be a cry for help. That doesn't mean
they're just looking for attention, aren't seriously considering it, or
won't do it. Sometimes it just means that they're trying one last time
to find someone who cares about them, and someone who will make life
worth living. When everyone passes it off as attention-mongering, that
can be enough to push them over the edge.



I don't want to talk about why this is so important, but I felt
compelled to make as many people aware of this as possible. Please
please PLEASE listen to someone when they say they're contemplating
suicide. You don't want to spend the rest of your life regretting not
taking them seriously.
