Hi everyone!
I have been reading posts on this site for a few years and finally decided to jump in. I have struggled with Emetophobia for years. Thankfully I had a long period, lasting about 15 years where I didn't even blink at the thought of myself or anyone else being ill. It all changed when my first son was born. He's 8 years old and has had 2 SVs this year, once in November (right before Thanksgiving) and another the 2nd weekend in March (honestly it started RIGHT as my husband was walking out the door for a weekend away with work). Thankfully my younger son has avoided it both times! I though for SURE we'd be out of the woods with this stuff by now. He came home today and announced that his best friend and another student were out today with tummy bugs. What are the chances of us getting round 3? I'll be ok tonight but am already anxious about getting that 'middle of the night call' tomorrow! Thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to read and for understanding. I feel so foolish about it as honestly when I'm in it and dealing with it I'm ok, it's the anxiety of waiting for it that I do terribly in!
