Hi, could someone please help me? A coworker of mine came to work yesterday (Monday) saying she was still not right after a SV. I have been sitting in the next booth to her almost face to face for an hour when she decided to reveal this and thereafter avoided her like death but occasionally had to return to my work station. We had spent a lot of time together on the Friday before so I was worried she may have been incubating at that stage and also feared she was still contagious on Monday. Today we had to do close physical work together (we are geoscientists and had to go out into the jungle to map landslides) which involved her touching my things, touching me, sitting opposite me at lunch, trailing through face height wet vegetation in a tropical climate (humid) which may have touched her lips and later touched mine and generally spending a lot of time very close together. She said she was okay today and did eat lunch but then she came to work yesterday when she shouldn't have so how could I know? She said her symptoms had hit Saturday night/ Sunday so I doubt she was better enough to come to work on Monday (i.e. prob still contagious) but don't know about today. What I want to know is am I still at risk from having caught it while she was incubating on Friday? Am I at risk from having caught it yesterday and if so how long before I will know? And if she was no longer v-ing today was she likely to still be contagious today and if so, would that level of outdoor contact be risky?
I am so scared. Any help, especially on how long before I know, would be very helpful.
Thanks.
