OK, I've been freaking out the last week because there is a sv* going around my town. A while ago, I felt hungry, but also had some gurgly feelings in my stomach. I ate a little bit, and then felt the need to have diarrhea. Actually, it was mainly gas. I guess I'm just scared it may be a bug. Is there usually a lot of gas with a sv*? Does it sound more like IBS?

Thanks Kate: Well, it figures, I have no gingerale or Imodium. I took a Reglan, but I don't know if that's going to help me calm down or not. I know it won't stop the diarrhea. I think I'll try some Pepto. That cant' hurt.

Yeah, Pepto will help too...i hate you are going through this though, but believe me, i feel your pain...i experience d every single day of my life.....pretty much....my ibs gets so bad at time, i think i would rather die, than s*** another time in my life...i get so sore, and so damn tired of it all the time. Hang in there, and hopefully the pepto will do the trick for you and make it stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds ibs-y to me, especially because of the gas. And the fact that you were hungry and had an appetite is a good sign! There have been quite a few times in the past couple of months that I got diarrhea the minute I stop eating a meal... I think it has to do with what you eat, and bad-ibs foodcan trigger your GI tract to contract once it reaches your stomach, which can give you cramping, diarrhea and gas, sometimes right after you eat. I'm sure you're fine!!
