    QUITE GRAPHIC*

I have just had two weeks off work to spend with my son in the summer holidays. The first day I, and a group of friends with their sons - all aged 12, decided as the weather was bad we would go bowling and then for a pizza afterwards.

We had a great time bowling and then were all nice and hungry ready for our pizza.

Just as I was going up to get my salad - there was a little boy walking behind his mum who was going to get some salad - as I reached the salad the little boy threw up all over the floor in front of the salad counter!

Yuk - I freaked out - took my little bit of food back to the table to eat, and ate hardly any of it. My friends all know about my phobia and were very good about it and asked me if I wanted to leave, but because I didnt want to spoil it for everyone I stayed - I had very high anxiety levels but I stayed there because I didnt want it to beat me yet again.

Anyway - I constantly had my eye on the little boy who had thrown up and his mum and they didnt leave straight away but in the end they did and I could then relax.

WHAT did concern me was the people who cleared it up - I dont think they were very careful when they were carrying the tissue paper over the top of the salad that they had just cleared up the sick with!

No one was ill afterwards, I am sure it was just the little boy had eaten too much and had too much fizzy drink but still - some restaurants' hygiene standards have a lot to be desired!

That is very disgusting, but I do have to say you handled it very well. If it was me I would be runing straight out of the resturant. The way they handled the clean up was wrong, I mean what is some of the spray from the v* went on to the salad bar? I would probably never eat there again. If I owned a resturant, I would of shut down the salad bar and got all new food, I know it would be a waste, but who wants a v* salad dressing? Ok that was a gross comment, but still!!

I probably would have jumped about five miles away,
and landed in a rural area. You are quite a warrior.
Yes he probably ate too much as most children do at
    such places!
If it were at my job where I manage most of the
cleaning and hygenic concerns near the food, I'd first
make someone mop it, then I'd sanatize the ENTIRE
    area.

good for you for staying - I NEVER would have been able to do that. And I agree - all that food should have DEFINITELY been thrown out and the whole thing sanitized. Yetch!

I had a total panic attack after that and had to move.. and we were outside!.. actually i had to leave and the entire time i had a massive panic attack that ended up lasting hours.. oh to be an emet.. i remember feeling so wierd and making up excuses for us to go.. my freinds prolly thought i was crazy.

ugh...yeah, i would have taken one look, set my plate down, turned around and walked out, and would probably not have any appetite for the rest of that day.

it was like one time i was at this huge public pool at a state park and there was this little boy who was playing frisbee with his parents and all of a sudden he put his hands over his mouth and (might be graphic) he just v* all over his hands and then he pulled his hands down and finished into the grass. at least his parents took him home right away but oh my god there was so much, i couldn't believe a little boy's tummy could hold so much! needless to say i stayed on the opposite side of the pool and didn't go near that area. the parents didn't even tell the lifeguards or anything, they just grabbed him and their things and left...so for all i know someone could have just been walking by and stepped in it! yucko...ok, enough of that.

I hate it when that sort of thing happens as it ruins your whole day and you can't stop thinking about it afterwards. You did really well sticking with it and not fleeing in terror!
