so this might be kind of a long story but here goes nothing..

my daughter is 3 and she plays with our next door neighbor who is almost 2. he came down with a cold about a week ago and 3-4 days after i noticed she had the same thing. she's had this cold for almost 4 days but today i just talked to the neighbors mom and she said he was v* and had d* with the cold as well. she claims he is fine now but the baby had been playing with him for the past couple days on and off when he still had the cold and now i'm terrified that she's going to v*. she has been acting kind of funny too and she hasn't been going to the bathroom right either. she's only had 1 bowel movement in the past 2 days and it was very little and watery. about 2 weeks ago she ate 5 pieces of gum and i thought she would have pooed it out by now but i'm wondering if that could be the cause of her constipation? do you think she's going to get sick? please tell me no.. but be honest cuz i'm desperate for answers. thanks for listening.

constipation can make people feel a little off, especially when it's only been that little bit in two days. from the sounds of it, if the constipation goes away, she'll be fine because her tummy won't be so backed up. is there anything you can have her eat or drink that could help her go, you know, something safe for children, nothing like ex-lax. i'm sure she'll be fine, but in the meantime i hope she does feel better!

p.s. I wouldn't allow her to play with the little boy until you're positive both of them are better, less chance of her becoming ill.
