Eww She woke up from her nap, went off to go play, and then my son comes running and says she just threw u*. So I go and see and it's just a little bit, but enough to send me into panic!! So I put her in the tub, not before getting some on my face!!! Then I go and wash my face, and my hubby gets home. So he bathes her while I am forced to go clean up the mess. Which isn't bad at all, but still I am freaking out. I really hope she's not sick, I know that at my son's preschool there is a sv going around but he's fine. She had some coke and seemed fine. When she was sick last time she had v* like 10 times in an hour, so I'm really just trying to convince myself that she is ok. I think that she might have had something in her mouth that made her gag. I know before she went off to my son's room she had my mascara (she gets into everything!)and had some on her mouth so maybe she got grossed out by that. She also had some dinner, and seems to be ok. Oh I forgot to add that she had her diaper on and went in it, and took it off!!!!! Yes, what a mess. I'm not sure it was really d*, but it was still yucky. So I'm just keeping an eye on her and hoping she's ok. If she has more d* then I know we're in for a terrible week.
I didn't even eat dinner cause I'm terrified. I'm sooooo sick of feeling the panic and anxiety!!

Just had to share, it makes me feel better, thanks for reading!

    Hi there Kim!
I really don't have any words of wisdom or anything, but I just wanted to tell you I know exactly how you feel. I have a 9-year-old, and through the years I've been in your situtation many times, and for me at least it doesn't seem to get much easier. I'm so sorry!
Just try to remember that children sometimes become ill for no apparent reason (especially the littler ones) or because they get into something they shouldn't, and they also seem to bounce back much quicker than us adults do.
In all the times my son has had a sv, I've never v*ed myself from it. Once I know for a fact I had it (had all the other horrible symptoms!) and still did not v*. And like you whenever he's had a sv I cannot eat and I wash my hands so often they become chapped and red!
Hopefully your dear hubby understands and will try to help you through this. It sounds to me so far that you've handled it much better than I would! You should be proud of yourself--I have never been able to clean up my sons v* without going into a total breakdown.
Hope she feels better soon and take care of yourself as well!

Well it just sucks! She's still fine, went out to play and no d* or v*. So I think she's fine, I'll just have to keep a close eye on her tonight, and pray that we're all ok. I can't freakin believe that I see the sv like the ebola! It'ssillywhen you think about it. We were out all weekend long, but she was always in the stroller, never touching anything that could have been contaminated. Oh here goes another week of worrying. Why can't I just be a normal parent, and just be ok with it???

Well if she ate I would think she is fine...how old is she? Does she
have any kind of cold? I would say try not to worry as long as you dont
put her v* or d* in your mouth i would say your fine...and you should
eat because it will keep your immune system safer...also go get some
zinc if you dont already have some...you can take chewables or even
lozengers and eat first then take them...7 a day while your in
"exposure" but on normal days like two or three. the zinc locks on your
immune cells and boosts them to make them stronger. thats why it helps
when you have a cold, you get over it faster...good luck. let us know
how she is and how you are!

Ooh I got to get some zinc! Well she's 18 months old, and right before bed time she had some tortilla as a snack. I guess she was hungry still. So I'd assume that if she's eating then she's fine. Although...the last time we had the sv in our house, my 3 yr woke up, v*, drank some gatorade right after, and was fine, then 3 days later he gets d*, and we all get d*. He was the only one to v*. Not too bad though I guess. So sv's can go any route in our house! My kids are unpredictable!! I've been taking vitamins, so has my son, I hope that helps. I'm still thinking that she just put something in her mouth, cause she's teething, and she gagged on it. We'' see if she has d* tomorrow. I really really hope not.

Aww. I hope it was just teething. The kids at my moms in house daycare,
would v* for random reasons I can remember it happening for no reason
at all...and when they were sick.. ahhh! But I think its just a wait
and see...if she is hungry thats a good sign. I think if she wasn't
hungry would be a bad sign. If it was a sv* I think she would have v*
or d* by now. As for all you getting d* maybe it was something you
ate. Let us know. You seem to be handling it good.

Well she seems ok still, she ate a little breakfast and I'm about to give her lunch right now. But last night my tummy was out of control. I kept thinking that it could be a sv but I had a terrible headache before I felt n*, so I'm thinking that it was a migrain that was causing my n*. I felt terrible!! I really really thought that I was going to v*. Somehow I managed to calm myself down, and get back to bed. I slept 2 hours last night beforeI had to get up and get my son ready for preschool. But I do think that my baby girl is ok.
