I think a bug may have hit my house. I know that there is a stomach virus going around my childrens school ........ and from what I have heard, its only been stomach cramps and diarrhea. Only a very few ppl have actually v'd or felt nauseous. Anyway ......... tonight my son started complaining of his stomach hurting, and he is running a 101 degree fever, and of course .......... my hubby is at work. He says that he doesnt feel like throw up. So that is good, BUT we all know how that can change. He didnt want to eat supper either. He is just kinda laying around. Anyway ....... I just neede to vent because I am streessed. I have been alot better about worrying before something happens, but now that my son is not well, I am a little freaked out!!!!

I'm sorry Jenny. Maybe the fever just has him feeling "blah", which is why he's laying around and not wanting to eat.

Hopefully it's not a virus, but if it is, hopefully he'll have no v* and get over it quickly.

I wish him well and hope he feels 100% very soon!!!!

Hi there!

I'm sorry your son's not feeling well--I know how hard it is when our kids feel ill.
My son had something similar a few weeks ago--had a really bad tummy ache, no appetite and ran a fever. Fortunately it seemed short-lived and he was better by morning--plus, no v*! I wasn't quite sure what it was he had, because he didn't really have any d* either--just one that was kind of d* (sorry if tmi!!).
Hopefully he feels better soon and take care!

Well, so far so good-no V*. I dont know what is going on with him really-he's got a fever, but not really complaining of too much else. He hasnt really even complained with his stomach much for the past few hours. There is so much mess going around this time of year-not telling what he has. Just this past week my niece ran a fever and had no appetite for like 3-4 days. Now she is fine.
Anyway

Just wanted to give a little update.

Thank you all so much!!!!

Hey, sorry to hear your son is feeling ill .. tylenol and lots of cool liquids and a cold washcloth always makes me feel better.

I meant to add in my other post that I have given him some Tylenol. I also layed with him in his bed and wiped him down with a cool wash cloth. Heres to hoping it made him feel better. Even though he is sick, I loved laying there on his bed with him and looking into his eyes and I could see how much he loves me .......... it really was a sweet moment.
You moms know what Im talking about. He is sleeping now-I hope tomorrow brings brighter things!!!!

A little update .......... he is doing a little better this morning. He slept all night and ate some breakfast this morning. He is still running a fever, but its not as hig as it was last night. So, we shall see how the day progresses. Its rainy here, ughh, which can be so depressing.

Just wanted to update:

My son did have diarrhea yesterday, but was still eating and drinking. Then last night, he ran fever again. Today (Mon.) he has been fine. So, I am pretty sure it was just some kinda bug.
