I don't cook very much because I'm afriad of doing something wrong and making myself or other sick.

Today I decided to bake a couple of things. First I made cheesecake brownies and cheesy hashbrowns. I followed the directions, but I had to leave everything in longer because I used the toaster over because our big oven is out of order right now. I'm worried that I over cooked the cream cheese for the brownies and the sour cream in the hashbrowns and made them sour or bad. I have already eaten some of both and now I'm scared.

Can cream cheese or sour cream go bad from over cooking them?

I don't think it would go bad...the worst is it may burn from the
sugars in the dairy, but thats about it. I usually over cook everything
too, becuase Im always scared ot making people sick. I cooked on
Halloween and it was turkey loaf, mash potatoes, and pies, and I
freaked the whole night about making my whole family sick. They were
fine, I was just being an emet. You will be fine...eat up, the babe
needs yummy brownies
I love Sam

Oh, thank you guys so much for replying!! I can't stop worrying about it. I'm more worried about the cream cheese. Usually I make no-bake cheesecakes, so this is very new to me.

Haha, Ruby you're funny!! The baby might need brownies, but I know my waist doesn't!!!Edited by: kellybean

I think you'll be fine. Besides, its better to have something be overcooked than undercooked... I never cook anything for the same fear.
