Does your emet get worse around the holidays? So far I've been
fine, but I tend to have more low moments as Christmas draws near due
to all of the stress and expectations.

Last year was great because we all ageed to not exchange gifts.
There are no kids in our family, so we decided that since many of our
relatives had financial issues, it was better to just get together and
exchange cookies and treats. That was awesome and relieved a lot
of stress for myself and everyone! Unfortunately I heard from the
ol' family grapevine that some didn't like not doing the gifts.
SIGH!

Another source of stress is having to be the ones to have to drive
about 12 hours to see different sets of relatives, who are all too
broke to travel to our house without missing work, etc. Next year
I am seriously tempted to have Christmas in my own darn house, no
traveling or family involved! It would just be me, my husband,
and the 5 cats! AHH! Peace and quiet!

I wouldn't necessarily say my EMET gets worse, but overall I feel more stressed and depressed. It's been that way since 3rd grade.

December 2000, Friday before Christmas Break. Long story short, a girl v*d all over my desk. And that was the start of my first real panic attack. And I was unable to enjoy my holiday season.

That's an EXTREMELY condensed version of the story.

I am at my "worry peak" arount Thanksgiving to Christmas. That has been the normal time that my kids get it and then I end up being the one sick on the day of the Holiday!

It's only happened maybe once or twice but it really get's me tweaked up. I having a mild phobic moment right now. A girl at my office proceeds to talk about how they all have the sv* and that their baby was in the ER with it and how they all v* dozens of times! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

People drive me crazy sometimes! LOL! Why couldn't have a normal phobia like fear of spiders and snakes or something! Why this phobia!

Mine doesn't get worse around holidays, but it gets worse generally around the winter seasonbecause I always remembered seeing v* on the ground in the winter time during my v* sightings throughout the years.

I agree, johnlp. I wish I had a phobia of snakes or spiders over this damn phobia.
