Glove. Keep some surgical latex or non-latex gloves on hand and I keep surgical mask on the ready to (y'all stop laughing at me)!
Kids v* easily in most cases. Sometimes it's infectious, or times it's not. I treat it like it's infectious.
sv* is not killed with Lysol in most cases. Keep you a spray bottle of bleach wather ready (half water half bleach) but do not use on fabric or carpet becasue it will bleach it out!
Let me give you more than your asking for while I'm at it. We pulled up all the carpet in our bathrooms and put in tile. Easy to clean and more hyginic (vinyl is a good option too).
If your child get sick in there bed (hate it when that happens). Strip the sheets put them in a garbage bag and deside if you want to wash them or throw them away (I've done both).
ONce my kids are sick I make them a pallet on the bathroom floor and have them sleep there until the v* stops. I know that sounds cruel but they never protest and like knowing they do not have to run and try and make it. bottom line, make them comfortable as possible no matter where it is.
There is a dry material that you can put on the v* that dries is out and you can sweep it up or you can wipe it up with paper towel or whatever. I try to use anything that I can throw away or flush to avoid spreading the infection.
Side note. have your clid rinse their mouth but tell them not to swollow the water. They will v* again almost imediatly. Wait an hour before trying to administer anything by mouth and when the child feels ready.
If they have never v* before use it as a training too to help them remember how it feels so if they feel liek that again they know to go to the bathroom.
Yes, I v* trained my kids! LOL!
As with any of this advise, use common sence and follow the advie of your Doctor and follow lable instructions on cleaning products or medications.
With kids, it does happen and I wish you strength! It's hard on emets but the parent gene seems to override the emets fear in most cases. it did in my case!
