I bought a bag of shreddedcabbage and what ever else is in coleslaw to make with dinner tomorrow. Do you think it's safe to eat things like that from a bag?It' pretty much just cabbage in there that I'm gonna mix with some dressing. I probably will chicken out from eating it anyway, but just in case I don't I wanted to know what you guys thought.

    Thanks!

Yes, I would say so. I worry a lot about food and am anorexic - so most of what I eat is tinned veg and bags of salad/shredded veggies.

I have it on good authority that these foods will keep even for 24 hrs after you open the bag, just keep it refrigerated, which shouldn't be a problem at this time of year lol!

If it makes you feel better, give it a rinse before you add your dressing, but I have been eating 4 or 5 bags of salad a night for years now, and they have never made me ill. Promise

I totally gave up on salads after all the veggie scares, but I think I just need to start making my own, growing my own veggies. Seriously been thinking about this...so I stick to only cooked ones you know? But I used to eat bagged salads all the time, like a bag a day without any problems for years.
    I love Sam
