Aw, that's terrible, I don't know what to say. I just hope it's short-lived for both of them and you manage to have as good a day as possible.

Hello everyone!! I will give more details now that it is a little quiet. It all started around 9pm on xmas eve. My youngest, she is 5. V* all over my moms computer keyboard, on the floor. In the mean time, I am trying to get everything ready so we can get home...my mom was coming with me to help out. Then my oldest, she is 11, is crying and I said what is wrong. She says she thinks she is gonna be sick. 30-45 mins after the younger one got it, she got it. So, after this, I needed more help. (mind you, hubby helped me clean up the first mess, then he had to go to work) My dad took my dog and my son home, and my mom came with me and the 2 girls buckets in tow. Luckily no one v* in the truck. Got home, got the girls in each bathroom...we only have 2. Once we got home, it all started. My mom in law stayed overnight with me. I had been up since 5 cause I had to work. So, once the girls were settled and the blankets washed, I went to bed. Heard my younger one a few times, but got sleep. It is now 9am xmas morning. I just want to cry. I can't believe that this is happening to me. I have never had 2 at the same time!! And this came on SOOOO QUICK!!! Of course, now I am completely freaked out about me getting it!!! It is a nasty one. My youngest v* from 9pm till 4am. She now has d*. I think she v* 20+ times. Poor little thing, I feel so bad for her. My oldest last v* at 345am. I would go help my youngest and then I would check on my oldest and she would be doing the same thing. The oldest must of v* at least 10 times. No d* yet. This will definitely be a xmas to remember. I hate this I hate this I hate this. We were suppose to have my parents over this morning to open presents and then my inlaws would join us all for breakfast. Xmas is cancelled. The kids are so upset cause we were gonna go and see Night at the Museum. Man, this sucks!!!!

By the way, my son still had some d* yesterday but seems to be doing really well today. He was sick for 4 days!!! Long road ahead for me!! At least the kids won't miss any school!Edited by: 6pksummer

omg!!!! I'm soooooooo sorry. Hearing that this happened to you, on Christmas no less, makes even me mad. How the f*** could that happen to you?? Its not f***** fair. Like of course if you werent an Emet, your children would have been fine & not s*. It just always f***** works out like that for us Emets. So not friggen fair!!

Well, since there is nothing you can do about it, because you cant change the fact that they are s*, just try to relax. The worst of their v* is probably over.

thanks guys...ya totally not f***** fair at ALL!!! my youngest seems to be done v*, but my oldest...still says she feels like she might time to time. We got through opening presents..this is the most pathetic xmas ever!!! I feel so bad for my girls. we were suppose to go to a movie tonight, and eveyrone is so upset that we cant go now. So, the rest of the day will be me and my son, watching movies, playing with his new toys. I just feel so terrible, like this is just an awful xmas for them. Of course, I am not eating...paranoid to death that i am next. I called my mom this morning, and she said her tummy was hurting last night, thought that she might v*, but she didn't and says that she feels better this morning. Life is NOT fair!!!

Do you think it was something they ate? I was just wondering cause they got sick at the same time, and that usually happens with food poisoning...Well you are a wonderful mom. and a brave person. I hope things go better...

I am so sorry to hear this has happened to you, we are all thinking of you and sending you loving protective and healing thoughts.

Perhaps it was something food related - kids have weaker stomachs and immune systems, so maybe thats why it only effected them, like maybe it just irritated their tummy? It could be a child-only virus too, like a rotavirus?

Stay strong, we are all so proud of you here

I feel terrible. I just was ranting about how I didn't get enough presents this year because we don't have money. I hope your girls are better, and I'll pray that everyone in your family stays healthy otherwise. It sounds to me like food poisoning though, because when my mom and I had it, we were both sick at the exact time. I hope you have a great rest of the week, and I will pray for you and everyone else who had a hard day. I am proud that you seemed to stay so calm in one of the worst times.

I SO hate that for you! You are right...just not fair at all!

Nasty ol' Norwalk virus! It is so vicious and hits so fast and hard! I saw that you said your son was ill for 4 days! Sort of staying in that timelime we've been hearing about!

What has been the duration from the time your son got ill to when the girls got ill?

I hope you are spared from this and hate that the kids got "THIS" for Xmas!

    Bless their little hearts!

I know it breaks my heart to see my kids sick...especially the little one. 20 + times...not right. Turns out that my mom got sick about 4pm tonight...I definitely don't think it is fp, due to the fact that we all ate the same thing. The only ones that got sick (as of now, and knock on wood) are the kids and my mom. This virus it fast...I can't believe how 1 minute they were totally fine then the next...v*. My son was sick on Thursday, and now the girls got sick Sunday night, and my Mom Monday late afternoon. Oh god...of course now I am FREAKING out that I might get it!!!! Turns out my mom in law had it too...about 3 weeks ago!!! What a crappy xmas!!! I feel so bad, cause the kids look forward to this holiday so damn much...and they couldn't even enjoy it. We still have a ton of presents under the tree from my mom and dad which we won't be able to open till Wed! My kids are now at my inlaws cause hubby and I both have to work in the morning. So, I just got done cleaning the house...I feel a bit better...but paranoid as hell. i had just a tiny bit of food to eat about 630. I have pee'd once today at 5pm. Nothing in me at all. Man...guys please wish me luck...I gotta make it through this!!!

Thanks for all the support!! means the world to me!!

I know you are an adult, and I am only 16, but what my mom tells me helps me out so much. If you do believe in God, He helps me a lot with what I am going through. Of course, there is a bug that is going around and you have been exposed to it. The worst that can happen, is.. you get it. But, as my mom says,God knows that you are going through a crappy time, and I have a feeling He is going to keep you healthy. Not a lot worse can happen to you right now, and I pray that you and your family have a peaceful rest of the year. Good luck.

Sorry your Christmas was ruined by Norwalk. How is everyone now? How are you?

How is they v* so many times?

See, what freaks me out more than anything is stories like this. I was not that emetophobic when i was really young and v* only once each time I had an sv. Then when i was 12 I got an sv and v* 3 times within 2 hours. That awful feeling of feeling better a bit then it starting again was what put me on the emet path.

What makes some people keep v*???

Emma...thanks so much for you kind words. I hope you are right!

Worrygirl, no my son didn't have it bad at all!! That is what is so damn weird. In fact, I was beginning to think something else was wrong with my son and that it wasn't the sv*. I do think now though that it was a sv*.

Daffodil...my youngest, who is 5 she seemed a ton better last night. Was playing with her toys from Santa, and really having a good time...she even looked better. My oldest, who is 11, has more color, but still is kinda blah. I think she just needs a really good night of sleep, and that might help. My son, seems to be ok. Still has "wet" farts, but is ok. Played all day yesterday. I felt so bad for him yesterday. He wanted so much to enjoy xmas. It was just me and him all day, playing with his new toys. It just breaks my heart. Oh, my mom I guess v* just 1 time, but slept ALL day long. I will call her later today to see how she is feeling.

To everyone else, I haven't directly commented to...thank you so much for you kind words, your thoughts, and your prayers. i need all I can get right now. This is the worst that it has ever been for me. I have recleaned everything AGAIN!!! So, I hope to god that it is DEAD!!!

Thank you thank you thank you ALL!!!

Marieb...right now, so far so good for me and hubby. I don't understand how they can v* so damn much!! My oldest has always been like that, but my youngest, this is only her 3rd time being sick. Man, my heart really went out to her. I of course, am freaking out...waiting, and wondering. Not eating, barely drinking. I hate this s***!!!

wow... i leave the site for 2 days and come back to a lot of stuff going on! i am soooo soooo sorry that you had to go through that. thank god you have a support system because i can't imagine how one could have handled it otherwise. is everyone feeling back to normal today?
oh... and seriously- be so proud of yourself that you endured that and are here to tell about it. i think i would have checked myself in somewhere. pat yourself on the back for a job well done!

Ypu should be very proud of yourself...You are wonderful mother, and you are handling yourself so well!! I am again so sorry. Well the good news might be that maybe if you do get it (praying that you won't) it wont be as bad. I really think that if you were going to get it, you would of by now. I mean if your mother got it so fast, then how come you and your husband have not!!!

My mom got sick with an svon X-mas for the first time in 22 years! And on top of that I was feeling like death warmed over on X-mas too! Weird huh? Anyway I'm sorry that your X-mas was so bad! That would suck to have everyone sick on X-mas! Looks like you got through it though. Best of luck to you.
