Hello All - I am a new member to the board. I'm so happy to have found such an outlet for my anxiety. I have felt alone with my phobia for many years. Most people think it's funny or made-up. I have two children - boys ages 2 and 4. They are truly the most difficult part of my phobia. I love them more than anything, but when they are Ving, I cannot go near them and I hate myself for it.

My 2-year-old came down with a mild SV early Friday morning (4:30am)... so, as you can imagine, I am in knots waiting for it to hit the next family member. If I can get through 3-4 days, I can usually calm down a bit and start eating. But we are almost at exactly 48 hours, which is when these things usually "awaken." I'm so nervous and know I will have a terrible night sleep-wise.

Anyway... please keep me in your thoughts. I feel better just knowing I can come here and talk to people who truly understand.
