***MAY BE TOO GRAPHIC FOR SOME!**

Well, 13 years of no v*ing down the drain. OMG everyone, I was so scared. Remember 2 days ago when I posted that our sales guy came to work sick....like v*ing, d* sick.....yeah, well, GUESS WHAT!

Yesterday morning I woke up with d*...no big deal as I felt ok. But then when I kept having to go to the bathroom to have d* I got a little worried. My d* was like complete water!! Then I was sitting on the toilet and grabbed the garbage can and v*!!!! OMG it was AWFUL!!!!! Now I am even more scared of it than I was before!!!

My bf came running into the bathroom and said "Mel, are you ok??" and I was sitting on the toilet literally shaking all over!!! I was sweating so bad I stripped all the way down to the nude but I was freezing at the same time!

Luckily that was the only time I v*ed. I had D* a few more times then made it on to the couch where I pretty much was in and out of conscienceness all day. Last night I had bad body aches and a 100.6 degree fever.

I started sipping water 12 hours after v*ing cause I didn't want to take any chances. I feel better but not 100% today and I am still afraid to eat or drink anything other than water!

I survived but it was awful!!!!!

Here's hopin! I was actually kinda surprised with myself as scary as it was and as it being more horrible than anything in the universe I was on the phone with my mom shortly after and she said "Well, see..it DIDN'T kill you after all" and I LAUGHED and said "It has now been 26 minutes since 'the nightmare'!" and I was making jokes about it all day to my bf...even though I was scared out of my mind I was ok! How did you know you were going to v*? Did you feel sick to your stoamach for a while, or did it all of a sudden come out? You don't have to answerthem if you don't want, if its hard to talk about, but I was just wondering.

Well, you should be very proud of yourself!! What a way for 2006 to go!!!

    emmalou -

I can't believe it either!! Just because I v*ed now doesn't mean I am any less afraid of it.....it was awful!!! It was my worst nightmare come true! I slept with a bucket next to the bed just in case. I slept in the bathroom for about 4 hours after I did IT. Then I made it to the couch!

It sounded awful.. but still.. YOU MADE IT and you are breathing and doing great. It really is such a silly thing to worry about.. I mean even if it does happen.. we will get through it and be fine sooner than you think. I need to remember it doesnt kill you.. but Ive been known to say I would rather die than be sick.. ha it still seems weird to me that you are okay. I think I would be moaning about how terrible it was and not want to move.

    Hey Melanie.....

I'm so sorry to hear you're not feeling well!! Just remember that you can go without food for quite some time, but you need to make sure you're taking in fluids (especially if you still have d*). As far as eating goes, the BRAT diet is good to start out with ~ which is bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. Your tummy needs to rest, so don't force yourself to eat and keep it simple when you do.

Feel better soon and hang in there!!

Try to drink something other than water so your electrolytes don't get out of balance.

I'm sorry you ended up sick and breaking your "record," too. I had exactly 19 years, when it happened on Dec. 25. It sucked really bad. But I also remember laughing about it later, and feeling a little relieved. I'm just as scared as ever, but I'm also feeling more positive. I knew the streak would end someday, and it did. Now I don't feel so much pressure about it. Weird, I know.

Anyway, I was so scared to eat for the first few days. Truthfully, I finally started eating "normally" yesterday. But I ended up fine, without a recurrance of the v*. The first couple days, I ate mostly toast and crackers, with ginger ale and Gatorade (to replace the electrolytes and stuff.) Then, I got a little braver with some chicken noodle soup. I think the fourth day after v*, I ate normal bland foods--I think I had some chicken, rice and veggies. Then, tonight I ate pizza. Oh boy!

I hope you are back to feeling 100% soon! May 2007 be a v*-free year!

Thanks everyone!!! I'm feeling better now 49 hours after 'the nightmare' I ate 2 pieces of toast yesterday and I made some buttered noodles with salt last night about 10pm cause I was so hungy!!! And they tasted so good! I have been drinking water but I am actually thinking of going to the gas station and getting some gatorade.

I slept pretty much all day yesterday and I watched football, stayed home for new year's eve and cuddled with my dogs. My bf ate a ton of food yesterday so I was getting scared that he would wake up in the middle of the night and get sick so I slept on the chair. Well, I don't know what it is about that guy but he is still fine and he is up and doing his normal thing....I wish I was like him and never got sick!! *jealous*

Thank you all for your kind words....it was scary but now hopefully I won't have to worry about it the rest of the winter, cause I can't get it again this year, can I?? *nervous*

Y'all are great!!!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! And good riddance to 2006!

    Hey...way to handle it.

the last time i v* was less than 2 years ago. i had a bad flu but really didn't think i would v* just because i hadn't v* in forever. when i did v* it was gross but i remember sitting there in the bathroom after the deed and just thinking "wow, did i really just do that?"

it was so weird, but i felt great afterwards. (actually just a few days afterwards, after the flu was over and i could get up again) i felt this huge relief and just felt really good inside, it was hard to explain.

but of course that feeling didn't last forever, i am now in a panic again because my cousin was v* constantly recently. (pretty sure it was the sv*)

1scareddj, that is AWFUL what happened but you have proved that it is not the end of the world if it does happen and we do live ( as much as we all want to die when n* hits).I can't believe you had both at the same time. That is just horrible. I had watery d* for a week last year but no v*. I can't imagine having both. I would pass out!!I am so proud that you handled yourself well and so glad you are doing better! I almost v* last night ( ate weird mixture of food and have a sore throat)and I was even thinking I could handle it ('bring it on") but I took a rolaid and it eventually passed. Whew...

sounds like you handled it very well!! did you have time to panic, or it just happened??? if there was no n* or anticipation for me, i think i would be just fine if i had to v*.
