I am going through perimenopause and one of the many symptoms is nausea -- not a good thing for an emetophobe! I wonder if there are other pre- or post- menopausal women here who have any suggestions as to how an emetophobe can better cope with nausea and all the other symptoms associated with perimenopause to make this life transition easer? I really don't want to pump myself full of anti-nausea meds because they all make me drowsy (or fall asleep). I need something that takes care of the nausea but keeps me alert so I can function throughout the day.

I had this thing called early menopause caused by malnutrition. I felt n* often, especially in the mornings.
There are meds that help women to ease the symptoms - you should ask your Gyn.
It was hard but I'd do it again (c)

sorry - can't answer that one. Is nausea really a symptom of menopause? That seems weird. Did your doctor tell you that?

I went through menopause with no problems at all, and no hormone therapy. So I'm afraid I'm not much help. But I agree with the LP...ask your doctor.
