Thread: Omg! Not again!

    Default Omg! Not again!

So my family had the sv last weekend and I've relaxed because I haven't been around them since Sunday so I figure I'm in the clear.
My husband works at a local bar at night and there was karaoke there last night. I go to karaoke every once in a while and I wasn't going to go last night, honestly because of the sv that's going around. Well then I thought, eh screw it! I'll go. So I went and came home and showered and my husband went in to work.
So today I got a phone call and didn't recognize the number at first so I didn't answer it. Then I realized it was the wife of the owner of the bar. As soon as I realized it was her, I immediately thought the worst. That she's calling trying to get my husband to come in early cause her husband is s*. So I called her back and she says "I was trying to get ahold of your husband cause my husband is deathly sick with d* and the chills" I KNEW it! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! So not only did my husband work with him last night, but the owner was bartending last night and got me my drink!! Now I'm freaking out BIG TIME! We're supposed to have a friend over tomorrow for dinner and I might actually call him and warn him that I might be cancelling. Not because I don't feel well, but just IN CASE I get s* tomorrow. I hate what this does to my life.
He wasn't showing symptoms yesterday so I'm hoping I'll be ok. And my husband reassured me that he wasn't really around him much last night. That when he got there, the owner went over and played a video game while my husband tended bar. And she didn't mention anything about v* so maybe it was just something he ate??
Ughhh I finally relax and let my guard down and this happens.

"d* and the chills" does not necessarily mean a sv* - it could be anything, but quite likely something he ate - fp* often causes d* instead of v*... I'm pretty sure if its just d* it's likely something he ate and not anything you could catch. Also, just 'being around' someone is not enough to catch from them even if it was something you could catch - especially since he wasn't showing symptoms, it's HIGHLY unlikely you could catch anything from him unless both him and you were being very unhygeinic, which i really doubt.

Thanks for responding. My husband and I are thinking it's something he ate.

I did talk to his wife today and he was up v* in the middle of the night. She also said he had a really bad cough and suspected it was bronchitis and she's worried it might have turned into pneumonia.
The sv that's going around seems to only last one day and after about 12 hours they are on their way to feeling better. He's not. She said he's out of it, cold, hot, no fever though. I almost wonder if it's fp.

If it is bronchitis, that could cause d* and v* if he's not been careful - v* from coughing too much... and if you push your body too hard when you are ill then it will give you stuff like d* to kind of tell you to stop doing anything.
I bet it's to do with the bronchitis.
