Hello, I was a little worried about clicking on here as i was concerned about what images may pop up, but i can't believe it, i'm so happy to have found this.
I've suffered from as far back as i can remember, i never knew there were so many people just like me, untill i started to look. well as you may guess this phobia has dominated my life, it has got in the way of SO many things, from everyday life, to carreers, and my social life. i don't have a social life, don't mix well and am now staying in the house an awful lot. i will get round to writing more about my life experiences after i've got over this pleasant surprise here. can't wait to get reading.

I used to be embarassed having a fear of vomiting, and I really thought I was alone. One day, I did a Google search and info on emetophobia came up. I was so relieved to know I wasn't alone. I then took it a step further and found this forum. I read it for a long time before I posted, but now, since I'm going through such a bad time with it, I thought it would be the time to join.

welcome to the forum......i found it in january and it has helped me sooooooo much. i read alot of older posts and was amazed at how i felt like i could have written alot of them.......hope you find some comfort and help here........i know my anxiety level has gone way down since finding this site.....

I know how you feel. Finally i have a place where everyone knows how i feel, nobody is going to judge or make fun of me, nobody is going to pretend to v* just to see how serious i am, its a place i can feel safe. thank god for this site!

Welcome! I almost cried with relief when I found this site last October. I really thought I was a freak but I was so glad to know that there are other people out there just like me, all different ages and genders who suffer from this debilitating phobia. Just remember, we're all here to help and support you. We have a chatroom as well and 90% of the time someone is in there. Also, there are people on here from all different time zones so if it's ever the middle of the night where you are and you need to post or talk to someone, there's a good chance that someone on the other end of the world will be here! I am new as well and cannot believe that there are so many others just like us. I am to the point where I need to get help. It effects my social life as well. Where thres alcohol, there v* so I avoid nightclubs and fun things that I should enjoy every once in a while at my age. I also fear the day that I get pregnant and v* all the time from that, then having kids who v* all the time. I am worry about these things in my future. I love all the support here.
