Lightbulb Sick on a ride (have not censored phobia words)

Since about this time last year, I have been trying to do things I would never have done because of my phobia, this includes eating out and interacting with sick people etc, and I've been going on rides, little ones at first then working up to the bigs ones, until the other week I went to thorpe park and actually had a fantastic time without worrying about being sick!
Then on the weekend we went to the seaside, and there were rides there, I did going on a "surfer" ride which to my horror someone else threw up on, luckily the person was at the other end and none of it went on me, and I got off the ride quickly so I didn't smell it or anything, just saw it, it was awful and was a moment that could of potentially undone all my hard work, but I managed to keep my cool and enjoy the rest of the day without worrying too much.
I thought I would share this experience to show this phobia can be worked through!

That is amazing! If I could give you a pat on the back I would, but the internet kind of stops that. And it might be creepy anyway...o.o ANYWAY.

That is so awesome of you and that definantly gives me hope! Going to the faire and to amusement parks is the #1 thing I want to do once I get this under control. I feel like I'm missing out on so much fun because of this and it's great to hear that it can be done.

Were you with someone who knows about your emet? How did they react if you were?

Wooo! This makes me so happy to know. It can be done!

Thanks all!! BreaRose, I was with two friends who both know about my phobia, they were very proud of me and impressed that I held it together, it was scary, but just the reassuring fact it was from motion sickness and nothing to worry about, if you can just drill that into your mind and focus on it, it gets easier so much easier! And I'm still on course!

I didn't have time to go and stealth and rush was the first ride I went on lol! I don;t dare go on vortex, especially since I had a bad experience with a spinning ride haha!
