    Default Cooking Chicken...

Chicken is my favourite meal, and ive always had it and loved it.
My mum knew just how to cook it and i never felt nervous about eating it...until i moved out.
Ive cooked it a few times and im so worried about cooking it right. i always over cook it or burn it.
The other day i tried this chicken shake sauce thing and it didnt cook properly, the bag disintergrated and the sauce wasnt sauce just stayed powder. The chicken was burnt but it had only been in 20mins, and the inside was white but cold. i ate it tho cos i hate wasting food, and all night i was worried it wasnt cooked and i was gonna get ill, which made me feel ill.
I really dont want to stop eating chicken and i dont want to keep over cooking it...
wonder if anyone can give me some advice or easier ways to cook chicken or if anyone else has worries over cooking chicken.
    Thanks

there are sooooo many good ways to cook chicken........why not google some recipes. i have a good one......you use a box of stove top stuffing....make the stuffing......put it in a casserole dish (brownie pan if you have one) lay chicken breast on top of stuffing, pour a can of cream of mushroom soup over the top of it all....cover with foil......bake for 60 mins on 350 degrees.......i use boneless chicken breasts for that by the way........do you have a crock pot? that's a great way to make really tender chicken.......you can cook it in anything in a crock pot....teriyaki sauce, bbq sauce....whatever you like.....

but i find tons of recipes on the internet.......have fun

I worry about this, too! I worry about eggs and other raw meats, also. If you could see me taking turkey bacon out of the package, you'd think I was handling radioactive materials. I like the bacon crunchy, so I overcook it anyway. Have you tried any pre-cooked chicken, like Tyson products?

I always worry about it a bit, but it's fairly easy to check. Just buy yourself a meat thermometer and you will always know exactly when it's done. That way you won't have to eat rubbery chicken. Also thighs are harder to overcook than breasts.
