    Default some medical advice?

i hope this isn't too off topic!

basically, i suffer from anxiety and ibs. the past week has been absolute hell. every evning, after dinner, i've got really bad wind (eww sorry!), a gurggly tummy and nausea.

has anyone else experienced this? i've also not been sleeping too fantastic.

i'm scared that even though it's only been about a week, i'm still going to v*, and the only tablets i have are ginger root, which help a little, and motillium. does motillium help in warding off v*?

i'd love some advice here, i'm off to the doctors tuesday anyway for medication review, but would be fab to hear from someone on here as a fello emetophobe. x

I have been prescribed domperidone which is another name for motillium and I was told they are an anti-emetic so hopefully they do help with n* and V*. Ive been taking them for 2 years ever since I was diagnosed with gastritis and IBS both of which cause me severe n* regularly. I also take phenergan when the nausea is really bad. I often get bad bouts of IBS with similar symptoms to you and certain foods can trigger an episode as can stress.

My boyfriend has IBS and enteric coated peppermint oil pills make such a big difference for him.

Vomiting is NOT a symptom of IBS, so don't worry! Stress can totally make it worse, so it's understandable why it's flaring up now.

IBS causes other end problems, not v*. There are lots of different dietary supplements you can take to help, like probiotics, extra fiber, etc... Try googling around.
