Exclamation Not an experience but a nightmare

So I didn't really know where else to post this but I felt like it can go in the experiences section... a nightmare IS an experience I suppose.

I had an awful dream last Friday night about v*ing!!! Lately I have been in the hospital for several tests and also in the ER so I think this is what brought on the nightmare. I'm sure most of us steer clear of hospitals and I have not enjoyed my last few weeks in and out of there.

So the dream goes like this: I dreamed I had been hearing voices so I walked myself to the ER. They put me in a bed in the hallway with several other people. I asked why they had not just taken me to the psych ward and they said the entire hospital was full because an epedimic of NORO!!! So I started crying and begging to leave but they wouldn't let me. They let me lay in that bed for a long time then finally came by with big trash bags. I said "What on earth are those for?!" They wrapped one around my head "To cover your hair from the v*." I panicked and cried. They they gave me a trash bag to hold. They rolled me down the hall and dumped me in a waiting room full of people that had noro. (My grandmother who just passed was there which is strange but when she was alive she was always the one I would go to if I was sick or nauseated). I ran to my grandmother and she held me while I put my head on her shoulder. One guy stood up from his seat and looked s*. I yelled at him "LEAVE! You better not be s* in here! I'll kill you!" And he proceded to the bathroom. I heard him v* and it was so loud it shook the entire hospital like an earthquake. Then another lady did the same thing! I ran to the receptionists desk crying and screaming. I claimed I was having a heart attack and they needed to perform surgery. I thought that might at least get me away from the s* people. But they didn't believe me. Then I woke up.

When I woke up I was crying and very very disoriented. I panicked and started to feel n* (WHO WOULDN'T?!) and drove to my boyfriends house. I was having heart paplitations (due to my heart condition, brought on by stress) and hearing things. When I got to his house I just crawled in the bed with him and cried. He was so great and supportive.

Just wondering, anyone else had such a dream as this and it actually made you sick?

    XO

Good heavens! How awful for you!

Dreams can be the cruelest things as well as the most wonderful things.

Before you go to bed each night, maybe read a book or watch a TV show or do something else you really enjoy. This should fill your head with joyful thoughts.

    Good luck!

Thats the worst nightmare ive ever heard can totally understand waking up anxious after that! Could it have been caused by your Grandmothers recent passing, your stay in hospital, a build up of anxiety causing your emet to get worse, mine does when im stressed out about other things. Dreams rarely repeat themselves so try to forget it, hard i know but nightmares tend to fade over time.

So glad to hear you guys don't think I'm nuts! :] Becca44, I think you are right about all of those things. I get all germaphobe everytime I go to the hospital for a test or ER. haha I just feel like everyone in there has noro! I know, it's not the case but that's the emet talking I guess. Yes my emet has been getting worse. last night I was up all night panicking that i was going to v* and it never happened! I'm not even sick by any means. I think reading will help quite a bit. I used to but lost interest lately i guess. I will definitely pick it back up and give it a shot

i've had many nightmares about V* over the years! many many many. the dream never caused me to do anything though. my most recent one involved me getting angry at my boyfriend because he lied to me about v*ing. in the dream, he'd eaten something from burger king and it made him sick, so he thought it was okay not to tell me since it wasn't a sickness.

but i mean, dreams are dreams. in reality, he would always tell me and plus he doesn't eat fast food ever. haha i hope you start having better dreams!

I had a dream the other night that I was at a school reunion, & one of my ex classmates had the noro vurus. She was wandering round the school vting everwhere, & the supervisors gave me a bucket & a mop & told me to follow her & clean up the mess wherever she did it. I remember that I did as I was told without protest, which was weird because if that happened in real life I would have run for the nearest exit.

Wow! That must've been one hell of a wretching to shake the building!

I find these vomit dreams fascinating. Keep them coming.

Oh my god no wonder you had a panic attack, that sounds like the worlds worst dream. I don't often have vomit dreams but when I do I usually wake up and feel nauseous and unsettled for a few hours and then I am okay. I try to play games on my iphone and chat to friends on FB just before I go to sleep so the last thought on my mind isn't vomit related as I think you often dream about the last thing you thought about. Anything to stop the nasty vomit dreams!

I just had a dream that I was at a huge outdoor concert festival, like a coachella sort of event. I was up near the front of the stage watching a band that seemed vaguely like the group No Doubt. Then in the middle of the song, the drummer gets up(for some reason he only has one arm, weird I know!), and then goes into a bathroom and doesn't come out. The singer after the song finishes says on the mic, "sorry our drummer had to step away, I think he's coming down with a stomach bug". I then woke up with a weird feeling.
