I think you should be honest with him because this isn't something you can hide forever, plus it would just add to your stress to try to hide it, and in my opinion, you should find out as soon as possible if he can handle it, if not, he's not the guy for you no matter how much you like him.

Sometimes we don't give other people enough credit. There ARE people who can handle it and would be a great support in our lives if we would only have the courage to tell them exactly what we're struggling with. So give this guy the opportunity to decide for himself whether he wants to be a part of this or not.
