So last night several friends get together for drinks. Well I'm hugging and taking pics with one of my girlfriends. And all. I just got a text that she ended up with a raging sv today. Fever and all. I. Am. Beyond. Freaked. Out. She breathed on me and all. F@@#!!!

From everything I have read she is not contagious until she is showing symptoms...and you have to ingest the v* or d* to be infected...I think you will be ok! There is a sv* going around here like that fever and everything some people just get it worse then others, take a deep breath and relax!

I agree with the above; you should be fine. Yes, it is possible to be contagious before displaying symptoms but only through the fecal particles. If she went to the bathroom, didn't wash her hands and touched a surface you also touched; yes, there is a chance you will become infected. However, with that being said, I believe it is unlikely. I am sure she washes her hands. Take proper precautions (but don't go to extremes) and you will not get sick.

You're gonna be fine. Best to get your sleep so you keep your immune system in good condition. No need to take boat loads of anti emetics. Not a good idea. Try sipping some tea and watching a movie to calm your nerves.

Met for drinks Tuesday night. Gave her a hug at 9:30 when we left. She texted Wed and said she was dick all through the night. With fever and body aches and weakness. She also has to see a neurologist for migraines. She texted me today saying she still felt like shit and was going to lay in bed all day. But. She texted me from a drive thru getting breakfast. Idk. Tonight at around 10pm it will be 48 hours. As of now, its been around 37 hours since I saw her.

Well maybe she is being a lil dramatic? If she is in a drive thru she can't be that sick? And maybe part of it is from her migraines? She doesn't sound like that healthy of a person if she has been sick almost 2 days and the first thing she can think to put as nourishment in her body is fast food yuck! Fast good is the WORST thing for you even when you are not sick! I really think you will be fine! Take care of yourself eat really healthy take some probiotics and vitamins to boost your immune system!

And let me add, Tuesday night she did polish off a pitcher of beer by herself. However, she's a drinker and drinks way more than that. So, hungover was ruled out.

Probiotics are the natural healthy bacteria in your digestive system...they provide immune support and a healthy gut. The incubation timeline is anywhere between 6- 48 hours usually. But it usually within that first day. Some people say longer but I think that is not a incubation period I think they either opicked up the virus from somewhere else or some place not cleaned so well that they didn't think of.

Like I said, I'm not scared of d* at all. Just v*. Ugh. I hate waiting. Yall are so great. I really appreciate the support. Keep it coming as I am a nervous wreck.

Within 10 days your totally in the clear but i dont think you were exposed. Just wash your hands and take a probiotic.

I really think you're already in the clear now. The only way you would have caught it before she showed symptoms is if you ingested her fecal matter. I highly doubt that happened :P

Yeah i remember last january my wife caught it from my daughter in under 24hrs. This virus is a pain.

I def did not ingest her fecal matter. Or not that I'm aware of. I went to the health food store and bought some probiotics. I still haven't eaten. All I have had is a yogurt at 7am. I just can't eat. I will feel safe tomorrow night. Until then, nervous. This phobia is horrible. Totally cripples me.
