I'm lactose sensitive, but not intolerant. I was getting horrible symptoms so I cut lactose out completely from my diet. I slowly started reintroducing. I found that milk is my main problem, I can have it cooked into things (like mashed potatos) but not in coffee/tea. Ice cream and such is hard too. I can have cheese in moderation, and yogurt is totally fine. Maybe you should try experimenting with how much/what your stomach will tolerate?
