How did your phobia start?

I genuinely have no idea how mine started, all I know is that I have had it for as long as I can remember, so I have technically been living with it for 23 years now. There have been two different suggestions by my parents as to how it started (one from each parent), but I'll never know for certain as I cannot remember either event.

My dad says that when I was about 1 and a half years old that they were downstairs and then they heard a massive scream coming from my room, they ran upstairs and there I was laying in my cot with a massive pool of v* next to me on my pillow and I was there looking terrified with these massive worried eyes with a look to say "What just happened to me?!" My mum on the other hand says that we were in the car one day coming back from swimming (we used to go with some of her friends who had children the same age) and one of my friends suddenly threw up on me.

As I said, I remember neither of these events so I have no idea, but was just curious as to anyone knows what made them have this phobia as most are normally caused by some disturbing life event of whatever??

My phobia started in the early morning hours when I was 8 and was suddenly awakened by a disgusting substance flowing out of my mouth.

i know mine started as a child when a boy v on my pant legs in school.......after that i was dreadefully afraid of v.

I've been emet for so long (40 years) that I can hardly rememberr the events that led up to my phobia. I have a vague memory of listening to my father *v but if I remember correctley, I was phobic then as well.

Mine stems from a particularly bad sv I had when I was 6. I can remember every detail of the night it started, and that was36 years ago now.

My story is pretty terrible, but I was around 2 or 3 so I don't remember anything. My younger brother who was 1 o less at that time had had severe reflux. He couldn't stand any food at all, everytime he ate, he v*. My parents brought him to hospitals, but the doctors never paid to much attention to him and he was getting weaker. My mother ( who is and has been a total lunatic, to say the least, she has NPD among other things) went completely mad, she forced my brother to eat again everytime he v*, she yelled at him all day and even beated him, being a baby. I watched all that and cried and screamed with terror ( that's what my dad told me, cause I can't remember a thing). So practicallythat's where it all began, because I've had emet my whole life.
