Default Be Careful of New to DVD Polanski Film "Carnage"

So, I'm not a huge Polanski buff or anything, but I decided that anything with Kate Winslet and Jodie Foster on the bill was something I had to see. Basically it's a movie that is based on a play about two families dealing with the aftermath of one of their sons knocking-out the teeth of the other on the playground. So, if you're not into a lot of talking, don't even bother. But, if this does interest you, be warned, there is an extremely graphic scene in which Kate Winslet throws up. And I don't just mean she tosses her cookies. This scene makes the one in "Bridesmaids" look like a belch. The truth is, you see it coming. She says she feels sick, nauseous. She says she is going to throw up. I had time to shut it off, but I decided not to. Honestly, seeing it in a movie or on TV only bothers me as far as making me wonder if I will find myself in a similar position to the character. It's been two days, and I still can't get it out of my head. I just wanted to give a heads-up to anyone who intends to see this movie. I'm sorry if someone already posted about this. I don't mean to be redundant.

I actually read in a magazine about this movie/interview Kate about it. One of the questions was about how much she had to get sick. Right there I was like, nope, not going to see that one!

It was fake. Kate did not really vomit in the movie.

No, she didn't actually do it. The interview was talking about her character. All I know, if I was an actress, that is something I would add to my list that I wouldn't do!!!

I think there are very few scenes out there that are real. I came across an article once about which few were real, but it kinda freaked me out, mostly because of descriptions of what was wrong with them when it happened. So I figured that it wasn't worth the anxiety and hate seeing it, real or fake. I never finished the article... but generally I like that kind of movie triva, such as which sex scenes are not faked, who does their own stunts, and which scenes are unplanned that the director decided to leave it. Trivia can be fun and interesting, I just freaked out on the v* scene one!

That sounds like a cool article! Regarding which sex scenes aren't faked, I assumed they ALL were, unless we're talking pornos-hahaha!
I'm super into trivia things too. There's a set of trivia books that are really cool called Bathroom Readers and they're full of fun, random stories and interesting facts. Really good to read when you're trying to distract yourself cause it's fun, easy reading

LOL! Surprisingly, there are a few mainstream movies (and more than a few independent), that are not porn where the actors really did, um, express themselves to the fullest? Easily found on Google (don't want to post a link, it is a family forum, even if the article is not kosher). As for the faked vs real v* scenes... I did try to google that, but I couldn't find it right off the bat, and the results were making me nervous!
