Default There is hope for emets that want to have a baby..

Hi i wrote a post months ago explaining i was pregnant and worrid about morning sickness...

Well im now almost 18 weeks gone and i only had about 5 n* feelings at around 7 weeks gone..but if i had something in my stomach i was ok

N* went just after 7 weeks and nothing since and now im almost half way through my pregnancy so there is hope for emets..I read that not all women get n* or bad n* and i was like no i wont be one of the lucky ones..but i was so wrong.. (knock on wood) I hope writting this does not give me bad luck!!!

Just want you guys to know as ive seen alot of posts lately saying im worrid to get pregnant due to morning sickness ect

There is luck and the % of women is only a rough idea..its not fact so girls dont panic..you will either be lucky or not so lucky

    Thanks for this post!

We are currently TTC #1 and I'm prepared either way. There are so many "safe" medicines and remedies out there for n* now. Non-emets most likely just deal with the n* and v*, while an emet would be prepared ahead of time "just in case."

Sometimes it is just the fact that we have the pills at hand that can make you feel better. At least that is the why I am now. I am so proud of you, love, for ready for anything with this! Just hope I am that lucky!

Harmony is right. I am 33 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I am 35 years old and waited so long to get pregnant due to my fear and just not being able or ready to deal with what pregancy may bring. I felt like I had gotten to the point in my life and in my Emet that it was now or never! For me, I have had a different experence. I felt very sick in the beginning. Up until about week 18 I felt sick everyday, pretty much all day. But I did have meds thats helped me through it and was able to get past with no vomiting at all. Now that I am 33 weeks and getting so close to my due date I feel the n* creeping back. I have had a very hard time being pregnant. Alot of pain and discomfort and have had gall stones and 6 kidney stones with 2 trips to the hospital. But that being said I do feel like this has been a wonderful journey. My body is doing what it needs to do and taking care of things for me as I sit back and wait for my little baby.

I've made it through two pregnancies just fine! I suffered horrible morning sickness with both and and for some reason was able to cope knowing that it would be worth it in the end. I only ever ended up getting sick once during both pregnancies and that was because the Stadol they gave me in labor didn't agree with me. Good luck, ladies!

Thank you. i hope you can to because this phobia is life distroying and can stop you from doing the most beautyful things in life..even though i have got passed the stage of going for it..i still have worrys of when my child is older and on solids..will i be a good mum ect..so even though we have got through the first step we have to think about the future..but you are not alone..far from it..

What's your due date, Harmony, I'm just over 18 weeks now so we must both be having New Year babies?

Unfortunately I was sick 24/7 from weeks 5-16, bleuuuurgh. I'm still here to tell the tale though

Keep in mind when you go in to deliver you had request Zofran as well. I did that and had a v*-free delivery.

I'm with Heather-- request Zofran during delivery (did mine through IV) and all was well! No v* during pregnancy either. Some nausea in the beginning but nothing major at all. Only thing that really bothered me was smell of turkey, lol (1st trimester was during Thanksgiving-- go figure )
