Don't panic - one of the first signs and symptoms of a throat virus/infection is nausea, tummy pain and/or diarrhoea. Your throat is directly connected to your tummy after all - mucus running down into your tummy is most likely causing the n*. I had countless throat infections and tonsillitis as a child, felt n* every time but didn't ever once actually v*. Just remind yourself the germ/illness is in your throat. Not your stomach. So there's no reason for you to v*. Keep taking painkillers and flu remedies. I too at the moment have a bad sore throat and flu symptoms (just posted a thread on it) and it's making me feel n*, even though I know it's just a cold. So I know what you are going through. Just try to rest if you can and drink loads of fluids to flush things out. Get some throat lozenges and also try hot water mixed with a freshly squeezed lemon and some honey. It helps fight infection and is really soothing and comforting. Also try to eat if you can as if you're just swallowing mucus into your stomach, and your stomach is empty the acid will make you feel very n*. Just eat what you fancy, even if it's only a bit of soup or toast. Feel better soon![]()
