Just started going out with this guy

Hope you are all doing okay. I've never dated before or been close to even kissing a guy. I'm 19 and go to university. Recently over the last few weeks a guy has been interested in me and he asked me out and we've been out on 3 dates now. We are getting closer every time and I feel like we are getting to know each other really well which is awesome. Today on our third date we went to the movies. I was thinking for sure that he'd kiss me on the third date or at least hold my hand. It's not bothering me that he hasn't done these things completely, I just wonder if it's me doing something wrong. We were really close in the movies and like had our arms touching, but I think both of us were too nervous to actually hold hands or kiss lol. I don't know how this stuff usually works. I'm so keen to kiss this boy haha he's so sweet and lovely and we seem quite good together. Is this normal? Should we have kissed by the third date?

Its different for everyone, he probably hesitated because he wasn't sure if you were keen. If you want to kiss him, be brave and go for it I am sure he wouldn't still be going on dates with you if he didn't want to be with you. It sounds like you two are getting along fine. Take it slow, there is no right time to do anything especially since this is your first boyfriend.

Kinetic said it all really. Next time you're together, just rest your hand so it's touching his, and if nothing happens, try moving a finger so that it rests on top of his. As kinetic said, he wouldn't stilll be there if he didn't want to be! Have fun! Xx
