    Cool Been Doing Well

My emet has been (surprisingly) under control lately. I've been doing a lot of things that are potentially v inducing, and my friend is really sensitive to smells and tastes and throws up easily, and I barely even flinched when it happened. I think I've finally grown somewhat comfortable around vomiting, but my true fear lies in stomach flu's. It's not circulating the school at all right now, or not much, so I'm very calm. I think my friend said she had a stomach bug last week, but even her telling me that didn't concern me because now I'm able to rationalize and say, "Okay, I wasn't near her while she was sick--we don't share food, I'm fine..." It's such a nice peace of mind. I was a complete wreck two years ago and I couldn't function straight. It's quite nice and I wish this serenity on everybody, because I'm finally able to live my life like a normal fifteen year old.

Very glad to hear about this! Really hope it stays that way for you as well. I've also been the same! Been feeling completely fine in the past 3 weeks or so. Had hardly any nausea waves or anything. It's been great.

Kailyn, you're starting young which is good. That means you can put into practice more and more the techniques you use not to be fearful, and carry them with you into your adulthood. A woman I let live in my home came back drunk one night a few months ago, and mind you I namely fear others now; and of course she was getting sick in my bathroom and then passed out in it. I surprised myself when I was able to clean her and her heaping mess up. I'd say the kids prepared me. Techniques gained, techniques used. You'll do fabulous!

Just always keep in mind guys that it is possible, even when things feel hopeless. I never thought I'd be better, or back to myself. I'm 110% me now. It might not happen today or tomorrow, but all the hard work really does pay off and is so, so worth it. You will kick emets ass one day!

I went to a party a few weeks back, drunk people every where of course, and nothing. No fear. That was such an enlightening moment for me, because the year before even, I would've been panicking. Like I said, I dread and fear the stomach flu -- but I haven't been ill in almost twelve years now. I've pretty much forgone my most susceptible years.

Thanks to everybody for the ongoing support. I honestly don't think I would be where I am now had I not found this site and the immense support. I always felt so alone, like I was the only one suffering and that nobody understood. It really helped me, all your coping mechanisms, distractions, everything.
