Unfortunately you have to become open to the fact that others may not be as hygienic as you, but as long as you ensure you are you should be fine. I did house shares at uni and in that time we had some vile dirty people living with us. In the whole time i was there me and another girl took responsibility for the cleaning because we both hated mess. In the whole time i was at uni and after staying in the city for another 6 years i never got a single stomach bug and i dont remember anyone else getting one either. I did have an episode where id been out one saturday night and we got a curry takeaway and i was so ill the next day but i think i had poisoning i ended up having to o to the emergency doctor to stop me throwing up. i v*d twice on ither occasions with hangovers but not a single stomach bug. One lad got ood poisoning thru him not cooking sausages correctly and he did v. Even drunk i dont honestly remember seeing anyone get ill i know they did but i was never witness to it. The thing i remember was freshers flu which was a killer cold normally in the first couple of weeks of term. Once you have people around you can trust tell them about your emet. I did. at the time my emet was more being scared of others rather than me so i told them if ever you need to v please tell me so i can run or make sure you get away from me. As my emet wasnt as bad as now i was probably less cautious on the hand washing etc and i was ok.
