Default V* questionnaire from the anxiety uk website...

I wondered if we could all do this and see each other's, it may be absolutely pointless but i'm interested! It's prob been postd b4 but not that i've seen...
1 I avoid air travel because I may become nauseous/vomit. Nope
2 I avoid other forms of transport because I may become nauseous/vomit. No, I get motion sick in cars, so I do warn people to drive slowly if I can though.
3 I avoid sea travel (boats, etc.) because I may become
nauseous/vomit. Hard to say! I'd be worried I'd get sea-sick because have not been on a boat unless one of the speeding water boats counts(not sure real name) I wouldn't go on a cruise personally. Due to noro risk too but more my unfamiliarity with boats.
4 I avoid places where there are no facilities to cater if I
    become nauseous/vomit. No
5 I avoid places where there is no medical attention,
because I may become nauseous/vomit. No
6 I avoid fast-moving activities like rides at the theme park,
because I may vomit. Yes!! But isn't it normal to avoid rides which will make you nauseous/v* lol, so confusing!
7 If I see vomit, I may be sick myself. No
8 If I smell vomit I may be sick myself. No
9 Exposure to vomit can cause sickness and/or illness. Yes (because we all know it can)
10 I avoid adults who may be likely to vomit. Yes if they're ill wtih sv.
11 I avoid children who may be likely to vomit. Would if it was sv. (again I actually assume/hope this is more normal than emets think but fear it's not)
12 I avoid places where others may vomit. if sv yes
13 I notice physical anxiety symptoms when exposed to
    vomit. No

Thing is, to me some of these just seem normal and sensible precautions, which non emets may also do?!(Wish we could find out if they answered this!or emetophiles not phobes or people who only fear others v* would be good to fill it in too)

    It also says you've to answer this with a 1 being - strongly disagree. 2-disagree. 3 - unsure. 4 - agree. 5- strongly agree.
But this confuses me so I'm sayin a simple yes or no!

I am not in favor of sharing this here. By showing people the questionnaire before they get involved in the program, we could be biasing potential patients and depriving people here on IES of a potential cure.

haha, sorry dani8mc, the questions that you thought should just be normal and sensible cautions are not at all 'normal and sensible' really! the great deal of ppl dont even think too much about v* until they are actually about to v*! I am with you and agree, ppl should avoid v*, and think it would be sensible, but to ppl without emit, they really dont give it much thought at all. One lovely person on this site who has umm 'gotten over her emit' can actually eat toast while holding v* bucket for her child! I think this, while gross - is something amazing! Oh, to be that carefree again!
