-- can't decide between these two. Probably more a? I think, because I would freak out even if I was alone. BUT, I'd rather throw up 10 times at home than once in public.

Q2: As an emetophobe, do you additionally suffer from any of the following?

    g) none of the above. I have struggled with them in the past, though (panic attacks and depression)

Q3: If someone near you were V*ing due to non-contagious reasons (ie: morning sickness, drinking too much alcohol, etc), you would:

    a) Still be scared/panic/afraid since it's V

but I think if it was someone I cared about I could calm down enough to help them.

Q4: The last time you V*ed was:

Depends on your definition of vomit. About 2 months ago I had food poisoning or sv and I was heaving and it got all the way to the back of my throat, but didn't come out. I kinda coughed up a bit of food and spit it out. Our resident vomiting expert gumdropper says this doesn't count as vomiting, but it was close enough for me!!!

I threw up from drinking too much probably last time was about 2006?

Q5: Please state your age and the number of times you've contracted an SV in you life:

I'm 28 and I've had maybe 2 SV...possibly less. Difficult to really know if you have sv or food poisoning.

    a) Being out of control of my body

A bit of a late post, but here goes:
Q1: A, being out of control (biggest issue for me.), D the feeling of it (i can admit it's not as bad as my anxiety tells me, but it's still extremely unpleasant!), and E, being unprepared (I'd feel a little better if I knew a while beforehand if I were going to v* for sure).
Q2: Possible A, IBS, diagnosed with C, Anxiety (within the last year) and E, Depression (Since I was four years old).
Q3: B. I was able to overcome that because I want to help them feel better.
    Q4: C, on December 12th, 2010, at around 1AM.
Q5: I am 18, as far back as I can remember, at least three times. Not certain if my most recent incident was food related or not. If not, that would make four.

Q5: Please state your age and the number of times you've contracted an SV in you life:

I'm 15 and I can't even count how many times I've been ill. The amount of times I'm SURE it was an SV is once in 1st grade, once in third grade, once in fourth grade, once in fifth grade, and once in seventh grade. So 5. But when I was younger I used to v* constantly. I got sick so much my parents had a designated pot for me to be sick in when I'd wake up sick in the night. It was dubbed "The T*U* pot." I was terrified of it. I don't know how many of those were svs but they were absolutely horrible. And in 8th grade I v*d (not from svs) a total of I think 5 times, which was horrible because that was the worst time for my emet and it didn't help me recover.

Thanks for your time. I am currently trying to wrap my head around conditions that seem to tend to co-exist with this phobia, as well as other elements that seem consistent with emets.

    Q1 - D, E and F
Q2 - H - Generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder and OCD
    Q3 - C
    Q4 - D

I'm 23 and I think I've probably had an sv about 3 times in my life

Q5: Please state your age and the number of times you've contracted an SV in you life:
I'm fourteen years old and the amount of times I've had an actual stomach virus i.e something infectious? Once.
I was four and my brother was three. The only memory I have of it is that my poor mother was running round looking after two toddlers with vomiting and dioreha. I also remember we tried to keep a breadstick down and failed miserably.

I am 20 as of the 31st! I used to get really bad bugs as a kid, fairly often. Although some of it was probably due to anxiety/nervous stomach. Ever since I've had my phobia, I've only had one v* episode out of almost 7 years.
