Default Does anyone else feel n* in your throat?

I have had this problem for my whole life. I'm working on my life the best I can, but ever since I had my gall bladder removed, I get nausea now all the time, seemingly at random. I'm trying to pinpoint what has been happening to me, so any insight would be helpful.

My major weird question is, though, does anyone feel nausea in their throat? Sometimes it feels like my throat is opening itself up without my intent, and even that the nausea is centralized right there, right in my throat. It's not every time, of course, I get good old fashioned nausea, too! But when it happens, I wish I knew what it was and how to stop it. It is possible that it has something to do with a poor digestive system now, and it's possible it's fear-related. I was sick for 1 year without them diagnosing my gall bladder disease. I was nauseous every single time I ate, severely so. I think this traumatized me, and on top of that, I may have some kind of physical issue because I now lack a gall bladder. So anyone who has a similar situation, or who has felt this terrible sensation in the throat, please let me know!

I explained this to my doctor and he said it was acid reflux. I started taking Nexium for it and it helps but I still do get it sometimes. It's a weird feeling because it makes you think am I n* or not. I'm not sure about if it's caused be having your gallbladder out or not since I still have mine. Maybe ask your doctor next time you go in.

I have this symptom as well- it flares up when I get stressed. I always thought it was weird until I Googled it and found that a lot of people who suffer from anxiety and PTSD suffer from "throat nausea" as well. I try to carry around cough drops with me at all times- that seems to help/comfort me.

I get this. I tilt my head back and try to relax the muscles and swallow. I also sip water to calm it down. it's annoying.

Thank you all for your ideas and advice. I'll try the water sipping next time.

Jessica, I am so bummed, yeah. I never got nauseous unless actually sick until this gallbladder issue. Once that happened, my whole digestive system is messed up, I swear! I have started eating a very low fat diet and only eating in small meals to try to help. I might start taking bile supplements, but I'm a little nervous about that because some people who took it reported an increase in nausea. That's one of the most annoying parts of this phobia... I'm afraid to take medication of all kinds, especially ones for anxiety, which might help ease the stress of this phobia. It's such a cycle.
