    Hi Becca!

We post panic posts asking for support or just questions on the topic of emetophobia, or advice to other people on their threads.

Hey welcome!!! You'll soon settle in and feel right still home!!
you can post anything post tend to be more based around how you might be feeling, what you've done, exposure along those lines but it's great for if you just want some support you could post a thread being like 'feeling scared help!' And then just type it out and people will soon rAlly round. It's like a family here to reassure you whatever the situation. Or if you feel like asking S topic not related to emetophobia you could start it with 'OT' off topic for guidance.
Youll notice different forums for different things depending on what you need.
the whole letter then a * is because some people find it triggering to see the word sick, vomit, diarrehea or related words. So just out of courtesy people try and use that format first
hope this hopes and any other questions happy to help look forward to your input x x x

    Hi, hon. Welcome.

The words you're talking about such as v*, d*, *dr, sv* and n* are all like that because some people are uncomfortable with seeing the words they stand for, which are vomit, diarrhea, dry-heave, stomach virus and nausea. I'm sure there are more, but those are by far the most common.

Whether or not you choose to write out the words people find triggering here is up to you - I choose to write them out, as others do, but if you're uncomfortable with the words, by all means use the shortened versions.

Welcome Becca! Haha in elementary school I had a friend named Becca :P
Anyways, I hope you feel comfortable here. We are all here for support if you need it. We use letters for the words because some people find seeing the whole word triggering. I don't personally but I use letters still out of respect for others.
