    Default Apartment Building Elevator

So I ran to my apartment on my lunch break to pick something up, and I noticed that the elevator had a strong smell of carpet cleaner.

Now, there could be tons of reasons why (the staff decided to clean the carpet in the elevator, or one of the residents' dogs left a "present" in the elevator) but of course my mind thought that they had cleaned up from someone being sick. Even if that was the case, the particles wouldn't be in the air, right? I've heard that the virus isn't airborne, but I still worry. Especially with tiny spaces like that.

I used my elbow to press the buttons and washed my hands when I got inside. I also took my shoes off before coming inside.

not v I'm sure. my apt staff clean all day, every day. I'd rather have that than no cleaning! I'm sure you are ok and it was just standard daily maintenance. Mondays are busy after a weekend of traffic in and out.

I agree with mdgirl1977, they clean that stuff all the time.

And because it doesn't get aired out from the doors closing, the scent of the cleaner stayed in there.

You'll be fine enjoy your day
