I remember for my 9th birthday my parents took me to Butlins and the kitchen turned out to be in a right state when we arrived. We didn't each much in the little apartment but I did catch something and spent days v*ing everything straight back up. We ended up cutting the holiday short. I spent the entire trip from the West Coast of Scotland to The North East being ill, I remember we had to make a very quick stop on the side of a dual carriage way because I had to get out of the car. Never been able to face going back to a place like it again.

I'm sixteen and I have had a SV once, which was after Thanksgiving in 2011. My grandma got it, then passed it on to the family. It wasn't FP because my dad did not come to Thanksgiving at my aunt's house or eat any of the food. He was sick with the SV as well.

Rachel 16 years old. I've had the stomach bug around ten times in my life (a lot I know, I wasn't very hygienic as a kid). Every year in elementary school, yesterday I contracted one, and then around 4 other times before the age of 5. I think I'm so afraid because it was a routine.

Okay so I don't know how to put this up as a poll, so I'm going to make this a multiple choice type of question:

    d) The smell/sight/sensation of it

Q2: As an emetophobe, do you additionally suffer from any of the following?

I would freak the heck out, go into a nervous shaking episode which involved crying and sweating uncontrollably.

Q4: The last time you V*ed was:

    c) In the last 2-4 years

Q5: Please state your age and the number of times you've contracted an SV in you life:

-24 and I have contracted an SV twice.

Q1: What is it about V*ing that causes you the greatest distress?

    a) Being out of control of my body
    b) Feels foreign/don't know how to do it
    d) The smell/sight/sensation of it
    e) Belief that I won't be prepared for it
    f) Embarrassment if in front of others

Q2: As an emetophobe, do you additionally suffer from any of the following?

    b) Gastritis (I'm not sure)
    c) Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Q3: If someone near you were V*ing due to non-contagious reasons (ie: morning sickness, drinking too much alcohol, etc), you would:

    c) Still be scared, but to a lesser extent since it's non-contagious

I would be a little bit scared because I'd be afraid that seeing someone throwing up would make ME nauseous.

Q4: The last time you V*ed was:

    d) In the last 6-10 years (10 years ago)

Q5: Please state your age and the number of times you've contracted an SV in you life:

Q2: As an emetophobe, do you additionally suffer from any of the following?

    a) Irritable Bowel Syndrome (not entirely certain, but it's my best guess)
    c) Generalized Anxiety Disorder
    d) Panic Disorder
    e) Depression (currently on Lexapro)

Q3: If someone near you were V*ing due to non-contagious reasons (ie: morning sickness, drinking too much alcohol, etc), you would:

    c) Still be scared, but to a lesser extent since it's non-contagious (the sight/smell of it more than anything would make me n*)

First time that I remember, I was 5 and it was the middle of the night. The second was when I was 8 or 9, it was on a family road trip to a relative's house and I initially thought it was just car sickness (something I'm somewhat used to), but after arriving at my relative's house, I v* immediately. I was told that the worst was over, but after drinking several glass bottles of coca cola, I v* again (this I remember being the actual worst part of the entire experience)

    All of these!

    e) Depression

    A. I've never been diagnosed with IBS but I had my gallbladder removed 5 years ago so it gives me the same symptoms at times.
    C. I have terrible anxiety. Especially about my health. It sends me into a panic at times.
    E. I've never been diagnosed with depression but I can see how it relates to me. I feel so down sometimes.
    F. Again, never diagnosed but I've had OCD since I was in my early teens. Mine is more "jinx" related. I can be walking down the street, see a stick on the ground and in my mind I'll tell myself "if you don't go right of that stick, this or that will happen."

    b) Not be afraid/panic since it's not contagious

As long as I KNOW it's not contagious, I'm fine!

Q4: The last time you V*ed was:

    b) In the last year

Q5: Please state your age and the number of times you've contracted an SV in you life:

I am 29 years old and as far back as I can remember I've had a sv* 4 times in my life. One when I was 7, 24, 27, and this past September when I was 28.
