Kaydeejayde, my ear pain is usually manageable with the specially designed ear plugs known in the US as 'Ear planes." They don't make it all better, but they do help quite a lot in most cases. My last trip they didn't help very much but my sinuses were really inflamed and probably infected on that trip. It also seems to be worse on longer flights and when we fly higher.
