    Default Cleaning Products.

As far as cleaning after someone has been sick, what works to get rid of the stomach bug germs.

I know Clorox bleach, lysol spray. What about mr. Clean or something like that?

I have seen things about hospital grade type cleaners but they cost soooo much money.

I am looking for things that are relatively cheap like bleach, but not bleach...

I bought a hydrogen peroxide wipe thing..I think they are clorox..from Amazon. It was like $32.00 for two huge canisters. They are hospital grade and kill noro. I haven't used them yet. I probably should.

they kill noro, rota, etc. You are in the US so if you spend $35, shipping is free! I got a cheap dvd and my son was super happy.

I got hospital Clorox wipes with bleach on amazon for $25, but you can just mix regular bleach with water too.

Bleach is the best and most inexpensive way to kill norovirus. I use that and Lysol Brand III spray. Besides that, I just wash my hands before eating/touching my mouth and it seems to be working! Hydrogen peroxide is also effective, I believe.

Keep in mind that most standard bleach (like the Clorox kind) comes concentrated. For disinfecting and cleaning, its a very small amount of bleach (I believe it is 1 tablespoon per gallon of water).

I buy Clorox Ready-to-Use Bleach. It's about $3 for a small bottle. I clean my entire bathroom and kitchen with it 1-2x per week, and it lasts me about 2 weeks. It doesn't leave spots on your clothes like the concentrated stuff does. It still smells bleach-y, but it's not going to burn your nose and throat if you inhale it.

I like to use hospital grade stuff. I bought a big bottle of this stuff from Walmart (Zep, I believe it's called) in the home improvement area for $10. It says it kills Noro in 30 seconds, which is a lot faster than even bleach (5 minutes). It doesn't smell harsh, or even really at all, but I know its some heavy duty stuff. I use bleach mixture to clean my house but I use the spray on shopping carts and high chairs at restaurants when I don't have time to sit and wait for it to disinfect.
