How do you calm yourself down when you're having a panic attack? I'm freaking out right now. I can't tell if I'm sick or having a panic attack so I'm having a really hard time calming myself down. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Some things to try:
Put your wrists under cold water
Put a cold towel on your head or neck
Step outside for fresh air
Try to change what you are doing
Distract yourself
Sip cold water
Any of those things can help I also take a shower sometimes when it is bad that seems to help at times.
What kind of symptoms are you having? Try to distract yourself, drink some water!
If you try and tell me a phobia is unreal. I dare you to live a day, and feel what I have to feel.

I just keep randomly getting extremely sweaty, clammy and kind of hot and also like a weird tingly feeling in my stomach and kind of like the room is moving or I'm on a boat kind of a feeling. It feels like a panic attack but not a normal one which is making me freak out more. Lol. Thank you guys for responding and advice!
I find watching anything on TV, or going for a drive and singing to a song is good. Especially the singing because you distract yourself by remembering the words and trying to be all proffessional. Admit it, we all pretend we are epic great singers in the car :P Also, if I know its an anxiety attack, I go for a walk outside or a jog because its not a nausea that you will be sick from so exercising wont provoke it.![]()
I like an ice pack or bottle of icy cold water on my neck/ cheek. Something about the coldness makes me feel better. I also find twitter to be an excellent distraction!
