My addiction to antiemetics landed me in hospital

It was a normal morning.... Took my pills so I could go for my dr appt. had a physical which included an EKG... Sent me straight to hospital in ambulance.... Just had echocardiogram and have moderate heart problems... At this point I have come clean to the drs and they are almost certain that my overuse of antiemetics damaged my heart... I am 37 years old with heart damage... Guess it's gonna b time to face the fear because I can't take them anymore although I will still get them here monitored because I take so much.... Please pray that all will be ok....

Oh my goodness! I am so sorry you're going through this you will be on my mind and I am sending you healing energy. How severe is the damage? How frequently do you use antiemetics?

Will know more later... On an average day I take 2 8mg zofran 2 reglan and 2 phenergan...... But there's days I've taken up to 6 zofran and 4 reglan... It's bad and I'm ashamed....

whoa. I am so sorry. Thank god they caught it! will the damage eventually correct itself as you wean off the pills? That is a lot of pills to take, for sure.
