    Default Part of ginger mouldy, okay to use?

    I'm making tea and a part of the ginger was a bit mouldy, can you still use the other end of it that's not mouldy? That part smells just as fresh as it normally does. The piece got mouldy because i got a bit off it a while ago.

    So sorry, just saw this! Not sure if you still need help, but YES, certainly, just cut off the moldy end and your good. I always cut off moldy bits of produce and eat the good part. It's totally safe!

    Yeah i called my uncle, asked if he ever uses ginger in cooking, said he always does and he said it was safe as well, i did use the ginger. Thank you anyway, if anyone has the same question, they'll see this thread at least
