Default Does asthma make 'it' happen?

I think I've always had asthma but never badly, just every now and again I'll get a random burst of chest pain with a terrible cough and really wheezy and hard to breathe. I went to the doctors about it once but she said it was probably because I had just started to work out and was unfit haha but like this morning I've woken up after doing no excersize and I'm having the worst 'episode' I've ever had! My chest hurts so bad, I'm wheezy and can't stop coughing but I feel reallyyyy sick with it too! I've been and sat in a steamed room and that's helped a lot but I'm so worried I'll V! My mouth keeps going watery and it's just horrible!
Is sickness a typical side effect? I'm going to book another doctors appt for today to mention it again but worried I'll v in the meantime!

I have effort-induced asthma and it has never made me feel sick to my stomach, even when I cough a lot. Pain in the lungs and bronchi, yes. Wheezing, yes. But never any nausea. Could be it's just anxiety because of the asthma that is making you feel ill. I do agree about seeing a doctor, but I don't think you will v* from this if you try to relax and take something for your cough, like warm water with honey and lemon. That will soothe you a bit.

My daughter was a chronic asthmatic as a child and used to cough so much that she used to vomit but she didn't ever feel nauseous, even now at the age of 18 she will sometimes cough so much she chokes and throws up.

My first thought was also a panic attack. I've had them where I have chest pain and can't catch my breath.
