Interesting. I looked up the claims and there does seem to be some evidence of coconut oil having antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. (It's unlikely that there will ever be an in-depth study on this, unless the coconut growers decide to put up some $$ for a study. Research is usually driven by $$$).
It certainly can't hurt to incorporate coconut water or coconut oil into your diet. Both are delicious and hydrating. (I like aloe vera juice as well. It's good for improving digestion and fighting bloating.)
